Each novella works as a standalone, however they are linked in that they each feature one of three best friends, Mara, Sadie and Hannah, who are in regular contact across all of the storyâ€™s. Having read great things about Ali Hazelwoodâ€™s debut, The Love Hypothesis, and her sophomore novel, Love on the Brain, I couldnâ€™t resist the lure of Love to Loathe You, a collection of three novellaâ€™s, which have previously been published separately. Overall, Loathe to Love You sets the right tone, creating three entertaining reads. I usually don't enjoy novellas, but these are quick enough with plots simple enough to fit the structure. The characters are all quirky and likable, while the settings are beautifully idealized versions of real world locations.
